In 2013 Virgin Australia’s acquired of Skywest which now operates as Virgin Australia Regional Airlines with a fleet of ATR72-600 aircraft, which they use to ply the short Sydney – Canberra route. Virgin Australia and Qantas now both seem to predominantly run turboprop aircraft on the route.


Review: InterContinental Samui Baan Taling Ngam Resort (Part I)

Perched on the side of a cliff above Taling Ngam Bay, the InterContinental on Koh Samui is quite the setting. Set across 22 acres (~90,000 sqm) of land, the resort has a whopping seven swimming pools. The word Baan means home in Thai, and so the resort calls itself the home on the beautiful cliff.
